2009年に参加した紙器業者様とのお仕事をきっかけに、ペーパーエンジニアとして活動を始めました。
紙というシンプルでありながら奥深い世界。
一見して不可能に思えるような表現も、ペーパーエンジニアリングならではの発想と技術によって可能にしてしまう。そんな世界に少しずつ魅了され、今日に至ります。
世界中のペーパーエンジニアたちの作品に学びながら、紙の表現自体を根本から作り変えてしまうような、新たな仕掛けづくりを目指して、日々制作を続けています。
私はこれまでペーパーエンジニアの他に、グラフィックデザイナー、アートキュレーティングなどを経験してきました。それらのスキルや経験を活かし、協働するデザイナーやアーティストの方のコンセプトや視点を大切にした設計を常に心がけています。
多くのクリエイターの皆さま、また、作品を知ってくださったすべての方と、紙の仕掛けの面白さや感動を共有できましたら幸いです。
I began working as a paper engineer after participating in a project with a paper container supplier in 2009.
Paper is a simple yet that have profound world.
Even seemingly impossible expressions are made possible by the ideas and techniques unique to paper engineering. Little by little, I became fascinated by such a world, and here I am today.
While learning from the works of paper engineers around the world, I am constantly researching to create new idea that will fundamentally change the expression of papers.
In addition to being a paper engineer, I have also worked as a graphic designer and art curator. Utilizing those skills and experiences, I always try to engineering with the concepts and perspectives of the designers and artists with whom I collaborate. I hope to continue to share the interest and excitement of the pop-ups with many creators and all people.
